Greenwood Place

A&A Self Storage are currently working on new proposals for the redevelopment of their existing site at Greenwood Place, Kentish Town.

The draft proposals will involve the demolition of the existing building and its replacement with a new and modern self-storage facility serving the needs of businesses and residents in the local area.

Immediately in front of the proposed development site is the Highgate Centre, which is a property owned by Camden Council. There is an agreed planning permission here for 34 apartments and a social enterprise unit housed in a building ranging in height from five to seven storeys.

The draft proposals for the A&A site have been conceived to complement the existing and permitted buildings and significantly improve the visual amenity of the locality by replacing a dated building with a new and attractive one. A&A have operated a popular and convenient self-storage facility at the site for many years and want to upgrade it to modern standards, meeting the needs of customers.

How to have your say

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, it is not possible to hold a public event where anybody interested in the proposals can meet with the team. Instead, we have created the opportunity to give feedback online and also participate in a webinar.

The architects working on the design of the proposals have produced an information presentation which you can view by clicking the link in the download section. This gives more details of the intended design and proposed materials and how the proposals will integrate with surrounding buildings.

We’re also organising a live presentation (webinar) of the proposals which is open to all. This will be held at 6.30pm on Thursday 25th March 2021 via Zoom. You will need to pre-register by clicking the registration button. We will then send you details on how to join.

We are also very keen to hear your feedback on any aspect of the proposals. Please use the online form below to give us any comments or ask any questions. We’ll pass on all comments to the design team and respond to any questions as soon as we can.

If you would like to speak with us direct about the proposals, we have also provided a help line telephone number.
